Description
The Attractions Co-op Program (also referred to as California Fun Spots) is a marketing co-op program designed to help promote attractions throughout California by offering downloadable savings coupons at visitcalifornia.com/funspots. To participate in Fun Spots, an attraction must present a redeemable offer, such as a percentage or dollar amount off an admission ticket.

The definition of an attraction, as it relates to the Fun Spots page at visitcalifornia.com/funspots, is an entertainment venue that is offered to the public, such as the following: museums; theme parks; amusement parks; performance and dinner theatres; sporting activities; spectator sports; tours; nature attractions such as caves, zoos, and aquariums; and boardwalks and piers that offer activities in which a ticket is required.

The following venues are excluded from the Fun Spots page: restaurants, retail locations, art galleries and any other venue that offers free admission to the public. Any venue located outside of California is also excluded from participation.  The California Travel and Tourism Commission (CTTC) has the right to modify the above criteria at any time.

Background/Accomplishments
As CTTC’s longest running cooperative marketing program, California Fun Spots represents a consistent 19-year partnership commitment between CTTC and many of California’s most-visited and best-known attractions. Most importantly, the California Fun Spots brand is a well-regarded and familiar tourism brand.

CTTC recently conducted a partner satisfaction study of Fun Spots participants, and overall feedback was positive. CTTC is working with its interactive agency, Sapient, to help improve and enhance the user experience by redesigning the visitcalifornia.com/funspots landing page, increasing the likelihood of more downloads and coupon redemptions as well as making it easier to find the coupons Web visitors are looking for. The Fun Spots logo was also recently revamped to be more Web friendly and in line with the California attitude.
