Reach media through familiarization tours with media from travel, lifestyle print, broadcast and online publications.

Partner Benefits
  • Editorial coverage of your product offers first-hand endorsement to the U.S. consumer.
  • Coverage can be arranged to appear in a timely fashion to support domestic activity and peak booking patterns in this market to maximize return.

Details
  • To showcase California and its various destinations and activities so writers and producers can produce stories exemplifying the diversity of a California vacation.
  • To develop relationships with media to position CTTC as the expert source for media materials.
  • To coordinate two to three group fams for three to five journalists and coordinate six to 12 individual fams to California as part of the niche/seasonal outreach program. 
  • If you are interested in hosting a fam, please contact Amanda Moreland and you will be added to a list of interested parties.

Metrics
  • Placement and ROI value for stories by journalists who visited California on a CTTC-sponsored/organized press trip. 
  • Resulting coverage is analyzed in terms of equivalent ad value and therefore ROI of funds invested.
  • Partner Web sites will also be included where relevant, allowing the tracking of hits if a specific URL is provided.

Key Dates
Media trips will be proposed a minimum of four weeks before arrival. Opportunities arising beyond this time frame will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
 
Fams will be held throughout the year. Timing is based upon journalist and publication editorial calendar opportunity, as well as partner availability and participation.
